This came to me in a box of nos parts, but there is no original packaging from Yamaha.
There are some light spots of oxidation starting in spots and some fine hairline scratches from storage over the years, but they are not bad and it should still polish up very nicely.
The only exception to this would be defective items. This is not normal, very rare, there are usually no problems, but it does happen.
Again, it does not appear to have ever been mounted and there is no pother damage, but there is no original packaging from Yamaha and it does not include the lever. It does appear to be new and I can find no signs of it ever being mounted, but it does look like the lever originally came with it and has been removed at some time over the years.
